Common questions about Slack.
How connections work — what's synced, what it takes to set up, and security.
- How does the Slack connection work? — Slack connects through a managed integration — Handhaaf handles the sync so records stay consistent between systems without manual exports.
- What data syncs between systems? — It depends on the system — typically items like suppliers, purchase orders, assets, schedules and finance records. The integration's detail page lists the specific objects.
- What if our system isn't listed? — HAAFEXCHANGE® can transform and migrate or mirror data from third-party systems even without a native connector — file drops, APIs or databases.
- Is our data secure during sync? — Credentials are stored server-side and never shown again, syncs run in the background with durable retries, and workspace data stays tenant-scoped.
- Does it require an IT project to set up? — Most connections are configuration, not projects — authenticate, pick what syncs, and it runs. Larger ERP landscapes can be walked through with our team.
- Can we control sync direction? — Yes — connections support one-way or bidirectional flows depending on the system, so you decide which side is authoritative per object.
