What is vibration analysis?
Reading a machine's vibration signature to spot faults months out.
Vibration analysis measures how a machine oscillates and breaks the signal into frequency components. Each fault — imbalance, misalignment, bearing wear, looseness — leaves a distinct signature, often detectable months before failure.
Sensors on bearing housings stream spectra continuously; ISO 10816 zones give pass/warn/alarm limits, and analysts (or AI diagnostics) read the spectrum for the specific fault developing.
