What is thermography?

Infrared imaging that finds hot spots before they become failures.

Thermography uses infrared cameras to map surface temperature. Electrical faults, friction, failing insulation and blocked cooling all announce themselves as heat — visible in an image long before the component fails.

Inspectors scan panels, motors, bearings and steam systems on routes; a connection running 20°C hotter than its neighbours is a fault you found without touching anything.
