Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) SOP

A standard procedure for safely isolating energy before maintenance.

Lockout/Tagout ensures equipment is properly shut off and cannot be started before maintenance is complete.

• Procedure
• Notify affected personnel
• Shut down the equipment
• Isolate all energy sources
• Apply locks and tags
• Verify zero energy state
• Perform work, then remove locks in reverse
